Mrs. Virgie Lee Fullilove

Virgia (AKA Virgie, Doll, Rosie) was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on August 21st, 1941. She was born to the late Rosie Mae AKA “Mother” and Charley Parker. She is preceded in death by her siblings Katie Parker, Harvey Parker, Charley Parker Jr., Charlene Parker, and Isaac Parker. She leaves behind Annie B. Johnson, Hattie Williams, Dorothy Jackson (m. Henry), Henry T. Parker (m. Diatta), Martha Haynes, Sarah Stanley (m. Iray), and Elnora Hayes. She met her late husband, Ernest Fullilove Jr., in grammar school and they were married April 28th, 1963. She leaves behind her 5 children: Patricia, Jennifer, Sandra, Christie, and Eric (m. Jessica). She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Virgie was a graduate of Amanda Elzy High School. She worked very hard for several companies throughout her life until she retired in 2000 from South Town News Paper Company. Her favorite pastimes were fishing and cooking. She loved Motown music, dancing, doing hair, gardening, and watching her favorite shows. She also loved spending time with her family and chatting on the phone with her siblings and friends. Virgie first learned about Jehovah in 1969 and was baptized in April 1974. She served Jehovah loyally for almost 50 years. She loved going out in the ministry and talking about Jehovah. She would often auxiliary pioneer throughout the years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. And anyone would tell you she was a terrific cook and baker! She also left the impression on people that she was sweet and kind, because she was. But she was also strong and courageous. You saw this in the faith she displayed in Jehovah, she didn’t let the challenges of this world weigh her down. The space she leaves behind in the hearts of her loved ones will be filled with beautiful memories of her warm hugs and kisses, her kindness, her words of wisdom, and the hope of seeing her again in Jehovah’s new world.
