Audrey Cynthia Owens

Audrey Owens was born April 15, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to David and Archie Owens. She was the youngest of four children. Audrey symbolized her dedication to Jehovah through water baptism at Milwaukee County Stadium in 1974. Heeding the Bible’s admonition to serve Jehovah during one’s youth, Audrey entered the Regular Pioneer Service shortly after graduating high school. Serving as a Pioneer allowed Audrey to develop, sharpen and refine her teaching abilities resulting in her having the privilege of aiding others to come to an accurate knowledge of Jehovah. Audrey relocated to Southern California in June 1982. She auxiliary pioneered and loved evening witnessing. Audrey was able to assist many young ones in the Arlington Congregation by picking them up for meeting and service. Audrey loved helping anyone prepare talks for the Theocratic Ministry School. While in California she also spent many weekends arranging activities for the youth taking them to the arcade so she could win at PacMan, bowling and other activities. After actively serving as a Regular Pioneer for many years, Audrey leveraged her refined communications and public speaking abilities. She embarked on a professional career in Technology and Telecommunications and subsequently obtained an Advanced Degree in Business and Technology Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science along with numerous globally recognized Certifications. At the time of her death she was employed as a Sr. Manager at Samsung Deployment Services America in Overland Park, Kansas. Audrey, a seasoned traveler, also enjoyed playing and watching baseball, water sports, home renovation projects and spending quality time with her mom, friends and of course her three “kids” Chase, Bootie and Sandy. Audrey touched the lives of many with her radiant energy, bubbly personality, engaging smile, quick wit and competitive yet playful nature. On Monday, March 9, 2015, Audrey quietly fell asleep in death. Audrey leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Archie Owens; one brother Danny (Sequilla) Owens; two sisters Dianne Owens and Patricia Owens; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
