Carolyn Jean Perteet

Carolyn Jean Ranson was born November 4, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to the parents of Walter and Rosetter Ranson. Carolyn was one of ten children, one of her family members referred to her as "little Ma' dear". She learned about Jehovah in her youth and from there Carolyn did not turn back. She loved what she was taught about Jehovah and his promises, especially the one mentioned at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". Carolyn dedicated her life to Jehovah and publicly symbolized that dedication by water baptism on December 25, 1976. She looked forward to sharing these truths with everyone she would meet. Carolyn fell in love with someone with the same love for Jehovah she had, Clarence Perteet, they were united in marriage January 6, 1979. To this union was born their son Eric Perteet. You would see Clarence and Carolyn together at Christian meetings, they were a true couple in their worship of Jehovah and served him together for the next 38 years. Carolyn was known for being a kind, generous, and mild spirit. There was nothing Carolyn would not do for her family if she had the means to do so, this same generous spirit was shown for her Spiritual Brothers and Sisters. Although Carolyn's body started to weaken due to sickness she continued to share Bible truths with the doctors and nurses about God's purpose to restore the earth to a paradise. She would also remind her family of Jehovah's purpose and to stay faithful and just serve Jehovah. Her family loved her so. Carolyn Perteet was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetter Ranson; her father, Walter Ranson Sr.; and two sisters, Gloria Ranson and Linda Nash. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Clarence Perteet; one son, Eric Perteet (Candace); three sisters, Darling Barnes, Dorothy Smith and Patricia Jackson (Patrick); four brothers, Walter Ranson Jr., Michael Ranson, Jeffrey Ranson (Joyce) and Larry Ranson (Mildred); grandchildren, Kadmiel Richardson and Devryn Perteet; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
