Mr. Edison Moseley Jr.

Edison Moseley Jr. was born on March 20, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to loving parents Edison Sr. and Mildred Moseley. Edison married Alice Moseley and their loving union spanned over 40 years. He was a family man and loved his sons Phillip, Edison, and Jonathan. A devoted employee of the United States Postal Service, he retired after 41 years of faithful service. He loved spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was having his grandchildren Alexus and Jonathan read to him. After a study of the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses, Edison dedicated his life to Jehovah and symbolized his dedication through water baptism in November 1991. The 31 years he was in Jehovah’s organization was the happiest he had ever been. He loved Jehovah from the day he started studying to the day he fell asleep in death. He would witness to the doctors and nurses who cared for him explaining his hope of the reserection and the paradise earth he knew he would be a part of. He had many privileges of service in the congregation and he served as an Elder in the Chicago Heights Central congregation since 1996. In 2003, he embarked on a second career that of a regular pioneer in the Christian congregation. Edison Moseley Jr. could always be counted on for a friendly smile and wise counsel. On May 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, Edison Moseley Jr., fell asleep in death. He was preceded in death by his parents Edison Sr. and Mildred Moseley, son Phillip Sr., grandson Phillip Jr., and siblings Jerome and Darlene. Edison leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife Alice; children Edison Moseley Jr. and Jonathan (Tamekia) Breasher; nine grandchildren Linda, Demetrius, Joshua, Jerome, Michael, Brittany, Phillip Jr., Alexus, and Jonathan; seven great grandchildren, brother-in-law Loveless Montgomery (Evelyn), sisters-in-law Margaret Montgomery and Emma Burton, a dear uncle of many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
