Fabian Baines

Fabian AlPeco Baines was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 8, 1974. Fabian was the son of Patricia Robinson and Dexter Baines. Fabian, better known as Toby, was reared by his parents and grandparents Ellen and Milton Robinson. Fabian had many family members who were instrumental in his care and growth including his aunt Joyce Robinson Bellamy. Toby attended Olglesby Elementary School and St. Leo Catholic High School. Toby often worked with his friend “Ish” in “Ish’s” electrical business and has worked at Liquid Carbonic Chemical Company. Toby was a happy, joy-filled person who liked to joke. Most times, Toby walked around with a smile on his face. Toby had a quiet spirit and was a peacemaker. Toby was a lover of basketball. He watched, as well as played the game. Toby was taught the importance of acknowledging the love of God by his grandmother Ellen. Toby and his grandmother often prayed together. Toby was well-loved by his Robinson, Baines, Stone, West, Young and Hamb families (particularly his bonus grandmother Patsy Hamb and Juan Hamb) and the many families in the area of 77th and Sangamon. Toby was preceded in death by his father Dexter Baines; his aunt Joyce Robinson Bellamy; his grandmother Ellen Robinson; his bonus grandmother Patsy Hamb; his twin son Jaquan; and his Ace, Johnny Qualo Tinsey. Toby leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Patricia Robinson; his 23 children who are: Michael, Tatyiana (Keith), Ronald, Jauan, Tiarra, Tyree, Raven, Jada, Shamari, Jakyra, Fabian, Maleah, Shatiana, Timothy, Shanija, Deshawn, Fabion, Fantasia, Shamonte, Fantavia, Kanija, Latoby and Amariah. Toby also leaves his 21 grandchildren who are: Kenneth, Kaidence, Anayah, Keith, Alliyah, Josiah, Mahogany, Kendall, Kevon, India, Malik, Jace, Kaden, Timothy Jr., Kyrion, Kodi, Zaniyah, Marley, Ky’ani, Michael and Kyriel. Also mourning his passing are his brothers Patrick and Christopher Robinson and his sister Monica Robinson; his aunts Delphine Wesley and Pamela Albert; his uncle Virgil Robinson; a favorite cousin Virgil Cotty Robinson Jr.; special friends: Jojo and Tay Tay; and a host of other cousins and other family and friends.
