Frank C. Cole

Frank C. Cole was born on February 8, 1943 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to the union of Clifton and Addie Cole. He was the fifth of seven children to their union and grew up under the spiritual tutelage of not only his parents but also his grandfather Bishop Blanche Cole at Cole’s Temple Church of God In Christ. Frank was raised in East Chicago Heights (now Ford Heights) where he attended Bloom High School. He accepted Christ and was baptized as a young boy and served the Lord wholeheartedly. Frank married his sweetheart Annie Mae Brown on June 12, 1966. To this union he had four beautiful daughters Michele Yvonne Cole-Memon, Monica Yvette Cole-Jackson, Marcia Ynette Cole-Anderson and Melissa Yvenna Cole. He was also blessed with a fifth daughter Jerrietta Jeane’ Cole-Doss. Frank worked for Amsco Steel Company for a short while, but was quickly called to serve his community as a police officer. He first served on the East Chicago Heights Force and then the Chicago Heights Force for a total of 30 years. During this time he also worked at Bloom Township High School as a Police Counselor where he met “The Fellas”. In August 2001, Frank joined and was a faithful member of the Usher Board Ministry at New Faith Baptist Church International under Rev. Dr. Trunell D. Felder. In addition, Frank became a Brother and Master Mason with St. Rest Lodge No. 5, A.F. & A.M. of Chicago Heights working under the M.W. Hiram Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M Jurisdiction of Illinois. The Lord called Brother Frank C. Cole home on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at the age of 69. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Howard and his first-born daughter Michele Yvonne (Mohammad & Rehana). Frank leaves his wife of 46 years Annie and four daughters, Monica (Valon), Marcia (Altraze), Melissa, Jerrietta (Nathan), ten grandchildren; ~Michele~ Salahuddin, Saifullah, Surraiya, ~Marcia~ Altraze, Amani, ~Monica~ Breanna, Cole, Arele, Valon Jr. and ~Jerrietta~ Shiann, along with his Godson Dranoel Davis and Goddaughter Jasmine Chavers to mourn his precious memory. Frank is also survived by his two brothers Clifton Cole (Betty) and Leonard Cole (Anita), two sisters Willa Bea Flat (J.L) and Blanche Franklin (Clifton). He also has nineteen nieces and nephews: Patricia, Debra, Benny, Donna, Mark, Kenneth, Clifton III, Sholanda, Brandon, Brandy, Derek, Timberly, Corkney, Edie, April, Keith, Howard Jr., Terrance, and Carletta and a host of loving and supportive relatives and friends throughout the City of Chicago Heights and surrounding areas. Brother Cole would tell us to remember God and II Timothy 4:6-8. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
