Kayla Trishelle Cleveland

Kayla Trishelle Cleveland was born to the union of Antony and Idler Cleveland on March 9, 2005. Kayla attended Central Middle School and Evergreen Park Middle School. She was an honored student who excelled at math and reading. Her acts of love and kindness toward others made her a favorite at her school. She was surrounded by loving and gracious people including her principal, staff and classmates. She told her mom and dad that although she had "this cancer", she enjoyed going to school when her health permitted. Kayla loved family. She and her brother Tristan had a special relationship, a brother sister bond that was evident in the way they talked, fought and cared for each other. Aunt Connie was more than just an aunt, she taught Kayla French and the two shared a love of everything Parisian. And then there were the best friends Amaria, Layla and Zia, sisters from another mother. Jehovah God was at the center of Kayla's life. Her parents clear understanding of Hebrews 10:24-25 helped her have a strong spiritual routine that included regular meeting attendance, field service, personal study, meditation and prayer. The families love and acts of faith in our Sovereign Lord Jehovah impressed upon Kayla her need to have a personal relationship with God and to dedicate her life to him. So in spite of her cancer, faith in God gave her strength beyond what was normal to persevere in prayer and as far as her health permitted, stay regular in meeting attendance and field service. Helping her to make her heart complete toward Jehovah were her spiritual families in the Crescent Park and Vincennes congregations. Kayla's parents were determined to fill Kayla's days will love and joy. Recently the family visited Disney World and was scheduled this week to be in the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses Bethel. Baking and decorating cupcakes with mom and giggling with dad made family time special. On May 23, 2017, Kayla Trishelle Cleveland fell asleep in death. Kayla's family knows Jehovah will call her name and she will answer at which time the family will be reunited in the paradise earth promised at Revelation 21:3-4 where there will be no sickness or death and Isaiah 33:24 where no resident will say I am sick. Kayla is deeply loved by her family, her parents, Antony and Idler; brother Tristan; paternal grandparents, Louis and Janice; maternal grandparents, Thurman and Kathy; aunts, Constance, April, Sheryl, Nicole and Sheri; uncles, Louis, William, Lee, Miguel and Romeo; great uncle, Willie; and great aunts, Versie and Mildred; great grandmother, Clara Allen; and lots of cousins, family and friends too numerous to mention.
