Lillie Mae Williams

Lillie Mae was born in Magnolia, Mississippi on October 13, 1922 to Ben and Susie Robinson. Lillie Mae was the eldest of eleven children. Lillie Mae graduated from Mississippi School for the Deaf. After graduation, she became a teacher's aide and taught Home Economics at the Mississippi School for the Deaf for two years. In her later years, Lillie Mae was employed with Roscoe Uniform Company for 25 years. Lillie Mae dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized her dedication through water baptism on December 20, 1957. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah and served many years as a regular pioneer. She preached to the Deaf community about Jehovah for over 54 years. Jehovah had truly blessed Lillie Mae with a unique understanding of the Bible which allowed her to mentor hearing servants of Jehovah on how to spread Jehovah's word to the Deaf community. Lillie Mae enjoyed a long vibrant life and she especially took great pleasure in traveling, sewing, spending time with her friends and family, and especially dancing. Lillie Mae was united in matrimony to her first husband, Clarence Jamison in Jackson, MS. Five lovely children were blessed from this union, Elteasa Peal, Clarence (Jack) Jamison Jr., Melvina Cannon, Gertrude Hodges and Ralph Jamison. Lillie Mae later married her second husband, Henry Williams in Chicago, IL and that marriage lasted 43 years. Lillie Mae and Henry were blessed with two wonderful children, Cinderella Branch and Carl Williams. On April 28, 2012, Lillie Mae Williams, a resident of Chicago, IL, peacefully fell asleep in death after two years of battling the after effects of three strokes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Susie Robinson; her two husbands, Clarence Jamison and Henry Williams; and two children, Melvina Cannon and Gertrude Hodges. Lillie Mae leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Elteasa, Clarence, Ralph, Cinderella (Raynard) and Carl; three brothers, Walter Robinson, Oscar Robinson (Della) and George (Sandra McCoy); one sister, Althea Bryant; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
