Loretta Wright

Loretta Wright was born on October 6, 1943 to the union of Roosevelt and Corine Walker. She was the fourth of five children. Loretta received her formal education through the Chicago Public School System. She attended and graduated from William Shakespeare Grammar School and Hyde Park High School. After high school, Loretta worked at Line Craft of Chicago for over 25 years. Most people thought she was the foreman because she was a take charge person who had most of the answers to most of their questions! Loretta had many hobbies that she loved doing…shopping, getting her hair done, wearing hats, riding her bike, driving her car, going out dancing, her plants, her fishes and spending time with her grandsons. No matter what, she was always busy. Most of all Loretta loved Jehovah and dedicated her life to him after a study of the Bible. When she symbolized her dedication by water baptism in December 1997, her life changed forever. She enjoyed her ministry and talked about Jehovah to whoever would listen. From the bus stop to the doctor’s office and to the store, she was going to give you the current magazines or a tract. Loretta was united in marriage with James Simpson and from that union one son was born, James Simpson Jr. She later married Ernest Wright. Many who knew Loretta, knew her for her straight forwardness and kind words of encouragement that she shared with them. She will be deeply missed by all. On September 18, 2013, Loretta fell asleep in death. Her family looks forward to the fulfillment of Revelation 21:3 and 4, when all will live on paradise earth and sickness and death will be no more. She was preceded in death by her father, Roosevelt; her mother, Corine; one sister, Lorraine Sellers; two brothers, Leroy Walker and Leon Walker; and one niece, Belinda Sellers. Loretta leaves to cherish her memories, one son, James Simpson Jr.; one brother, Roosevelt Walker; two grandsons, Lybreix Simpson and Ziryanni Simpson; daughter-in-law, Lorie Simpson; special friend, Mary; nephews, Ronald, Bennie (Sandra), Gerry, Kenny and Leon Jr.; nieces, Debbie (Hank) and Vicki; and a host of friends and spiritual brothers and sisters.
