Marie-Ermithe Chadic

Marie-Ermithe was born on May 2nd, 1935 in the very beautiful, tranquil and exotic city of Petit-Goave, Haiti. She began her study with Jehovah’s Witnesses in the 1970’s, in Haiti. Marie continued her study when she later moved to Queens, NY in 1984. She was baptized on June 1991 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Queens, NY at one of the District Conventions. Faithfully, she spent the years of her full spiritual life dedicated and devoted to her first love Jehovah God, our loving Father. She firmly lived in harmony with the words of Matthew 24:14, “This good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited Earth.”-- Marie-Ermithe Chadic decided to move to Chicago, IL to help out in the French preaching work and for benefits of her children. Marie was an amazingly strong, courageous, loving, honest, spiritual, and very caring mother. She raised six children and instilled in them the mentality and personality of perseverance. In the early part of 2003 our very dear sister suffered a severe stroke which left her with limited mobility. Jehovah, our Father, still took care of our dear loving sister, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law in accordance with Psalms 41:3. She had the privilege of staying at home and had the daily loving support of her two oldest daughters Armel and Margalie. Her children Majolie, James, and Judith showed their loving support for their mother out of state; when she went on vacation and by visiting her frequently in Chicago. Marie-Ermithe often mentioned how she greatly appreciated the support of her son-in-law and grandchildren. Marie often laughed and smiled when she mentioned her grandchildren and how they rejoiced her heart in their early years. She thought of the day, when she would see all of her children in the truth. Marie-Ermithe was an excellent cook and received much praise for her fine meals she provided occasionally. She always had to buy the very best to cook for her family and friends. Our dear sister Marie Ermithe Chadic ran the race to the finish and we saw her determination to serve Jehovah faithfully till the end. We are happy to have known her, but we will see her soon in the new system. Jehovah is and was Marie-Ermithe Chadic’s heavenly Father, God, and Friend, and as Hebrews 6:10 insists he remembers everything she has done for his name and for her family and friends. On the morning of May 31st, 2014, Marie-Ermithe Chadic fell asleep in death at home in the arms of her loving daughter Margalie Thimot, at the mighty age of 79, in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her four sisters Agathe Bigord, Benoite Jean, Juliette Metayer and Mimose Belance; her daughters Armel Jason, Marglie Thimot, Majolie Zephirin and Judith Zephirin; her son James Zephirin; and grandchildren Jennifer Jean-Baptist Dorfeuil, Jerry and Edward Thimot, Darrick and Ronald Jason, Diamond Zephirin, Fabrice Francois and Isaiah Thimot; her great-grandchild Makayla Jolie Dorfeuil; a host of nieces, nephews; her cousins: Zephirin, Chadic, Charles, Chresduc, Bigord, Chasdic, Jean and Sagaille; and a host of friends.
