Michael Eugene Armstrong

On June 28, 1979, a son was born to Floyd Bryant and Wanda Faye Armstrong in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was the youngest of their three children; Talitha and Floyd Jr. "Rooster" being the other two. Michael and his two siblings’s lost both of their parents during their childhood years; and they were raised by their grandparents Alfred and Patsy Armstrong in Ford Heights, Illinois. Michael (also nicknamed Mike and Mike Dreads), grew to become affectionately well-known as a son, brother, cousin, father, boyfriend, and best friend. Michael received formal education at Medgar Evans Elementary School, Tidye A Phillips, Cottage Grove Middle School, and Bloom Trail High School. Michael became a certified Fork Lift Operator, Crane Operator, Welder, and a Press Machine Operator during his years of employment at Recycling Works. Michael was a courageous man who loved his family and would do anything in his power to help someone in need. He was a visionary who had unlimited potential and a significant love for animals. He enjoyed writing, listening to music, rapping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family. On January 8, 2006, he met his “Best Friend” as well as “Soul Mate” in Jennifer Lee Johnson "Jenny" and they immediately fell in love. They inherently became fond of each other and held strong for nine memorable years. Within those nine years, Michael and Jenny shared countless precious moments residing in Harvey, Ford Heights and Chicago Heights, Illinois as well as Minneapolis, Minnesota. On February 12, 2015, Michael was the victim of a violent crime and was called home to be with The Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Bryant and Wanda Armstrong; brother, Floyd Armstrong aka Rooster; grandparents, Alfred and Patsy Armstrong and Eugene and Deloris Bryant. Michael leaves to cherish his memories to: “Soul Mate” Jennifer Lee Johnson; daughter, Kiara Johnson; six sisters, Talitha Armstrong, Antoinetta Kazee, Tanikka Kazee, Keanna Clerk, Shanya Bryant and Delicia Johnson; three brothers, Darius Bryant, Corey Bryant and Carlton Johnson; stepmother, Yvonne Bryant; five aunt, Sheila Armstrong, Debbie Hulbert (Thorice), Diane Armstrong (Larry), Gessie Armstrong and Carolyn Armstrong (Andre); five uncles, Alfred Armstrong (Debra), Deno Armstrong (Sue), Rufus Armstrong (Holly), Dennis Bryant and Darryl Kazee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
