Pauline Neely

Pauline Neely was born February 28, 1945 in Indianole, Mississippi to William Loggins and Hattie Lee Loggins. She was one of 10 children to bless her parents union. The family moved to Chicago in the 1950’s. Pauline completed her formal education and moved on to take classes in early childhood development. Pauline’s love of God led her to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. After a thorough study of the Bible, Pauline dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized her dedication through water baptism on October 17, 1968. She loved Jehovah and enjoyed telling others about the hope she had to one day live on the paradise earth promised at Psalms 37:10-11. She served as an auxiliary pioneer in both the Lindbloom and the Loomis Congregation. She enjoyed making sure of the more important things so she frequently searched the Bible and Bible aids. She had both a listening ear and a spiritual eye toward Jehovah and his organization. On June 21, 1975, Pauline married the love of her life, Cornelius Neely, theirs was a threefold cord not easily broken. Cornelius and Pauline had two children, Camilla and Dana. Pauline’s love of children extended past her own 5 children: Denise, JoAnn, Nathaniel, Camilla and Dana. She started and maintained a daycare in her home for over 13 years. It was a point of pride that she kept up with all the continuing education childcare classes and food preparation and that she was properly licensed by the state of Illinois. Pauline was a giving and generous person. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and then cooking those same gourmet meals for family and friends. Shopping, and decorating her home with chimming clocks, porcelain items, chandeliers, and planting flowers were some of her passions. On February 18, 2016, Pauline Neely fell asleep in death. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie Lee Loggins; two children, Nathaniel and Dana; and siblings, William Jr., Robert, Sylvester and Omega. Pauline will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her but especially her loving and devoted husband, Cornelius; children, Denise, Joann, Camilla (Edward); siblings, John (Lavern), Burnell (Rosetta), Rudy, Joyce (Paul), Minnie May; grandchildren, Shanica (Michael), Jody (Tori), Ava, Karen, Ivan, Chris, Rayshawn, Tiara, Alexis; great grandchildren Marquise, Jalen, Jada, Jaiva, Avery, Oliver, and Kalan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
