Ronnel Carodine

Ronnel Carodine was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 4, 1980 to the proud parents of Sharon Carodine and Winfred E. Carodine. He was the sixth child of eight, six boys and two girls. Ronnel has always had Jehovah in his life. He was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. Ronnel went to Sherwood Elementary and Yale Elementary School in 1985. After graduating from Yale he attended Paul Robeson High School in 1995. In Ronnel's younger years, he loved to dance and have fun coming up in the Carodine household. There was never a dull moment, always fun and laughter especially when our cousin Quartez would come over getting Ronnel into all kinds of craziness and fun, they were the best of friends. Ronnel loved cracking good jokes, playing sports, music and singing. Ronnel also loved dogs, at one point he wanted to become a dog trainer. He was handy and could fix things like his dad could. He liked to detail cars and he did carpentry for a while. Ronnel really loved to sing songs. He sounded like a darn fool but he would still try and he had a good heart. Later in his life, Ronnel met and married Keishanda Scales on July 30, 2004. It was then that he also gained two step-children that he deeply loved as if they were his very own, Shamonta and Jerryl Tate. In 2007, Ronnel's health began to fail and he went through some ups and downs in life and in that time he and Keishanda separated and he began turning his life back over to Jehovah. Ronnel was an amazing person he was a great uncle, a loving brother, and a fun-loving son. Ronnel had a real zest for life, he was a loving and giving person. He helped people and gave advice whenever he could. In 2013, his illness took a turn for the worse, yet Ronnel never gave up on his life. He held his integrity and fought the good fight for his life. On the morning of Saturday, September 20, 2014, Ronnel fell asleep in death. He was preceded in death by his father, Winfred E. Carodine; two brothers; two nieces, Alexus Carodine and La'Marea Carodine. Ronnel leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Sharon Agnew (Charles Agnew); three brothers, Keith Carodine, Martez Carodine (Lanova Carodine) and Duanne Carodine (Yconda Collins); two sisters, Kimberly Carodine (Jeremy Johnson) and Alise Carodine (Jai Tinsdale); two step-sisters, Charla Agnew and Crystal Agnew; two children, Shamonta and Jerryl Tate; nieces, Alisha, Auriana, Aveonta, Nacasha, Latiya, Avoni and Sara; nephews, Ar'Juan and Marvalous; his favorite uncle, Kenneth Lipsey; his two favorite cousins and best friends, Andre Bean and JaShaun Lipsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends whom he dearly loved.
