Mr. Anthony Josiah Pearson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anthony Josiah Pearson was born on July 28, 2016, to Craig and Tiffany Pearson, in Richton Park, Illinois. His birth brought joy to the family and his home congregation, Sauk Trail. At an early age, Anthony was full of energy and affection. His sparkling eyes and beautiful smile graced everyone in his presence. Known affectionately under nicknames "Chunky (by mom)," "Moo-Moo (given by his grandmother Donna)," and "Dee-Tah (given by Anita)," he would always look up and give hugs and kisses and would wait so patiently for others to do the same before walking and sometimes running away. He loved eating his favorite foods uncrustables peanut butter and jelly, burgers, French fries, grapes, tortilla chips and Cheetos. Anthony also developed a love for water and enjoyed playing in the pool. And almost nothing could tear him away from playing with his tablet watching babyfirst TV, smiling and laughing during some of his favorite shows. Despite having a couple health conditions since a toddler, Anthony demonstrated resilience, persistence, and great problem-solving skills which left his parents amazed with a little bit of humor in between. For help with his development, Anthony received great assistance at Westside Children's Therapy in Frankfort, Illinois. Anthony later attended SPEED Early Learning Center in Chicago Heights, Illinois where he thrived in his education and graduated from kindergarten May 24, 2022. The entire staff and school loved him dearly and called him "A.J." At his graduation, his school saw how much he was loved by how many attended in support. A party was thrown at his home to celebrate his accomplishment with friends and family. He developed a close friendship with his best friend, Tali. The two were almost inseparable, her being like a big sister he could ever have. Sadly, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, Anthony fell asleep in death at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois. While his death is such a tragic event, he meant everything to his parents and so many others, from school and therapy to his parents' place of work, and even the Sauk Trail congregation. One thing for sure, Anthony was a sweet, loving, and gentle little boy who was never short of giving or receiving affection. He would hold people's faces and play with their ears and his smile was so infectious. Anthony leaves behind to cherish his memories: His mom and dad Tiffany Marie and Craig Anthony, grandparents, uncles Mark, Julian, and Darren, aunts Naomi (Rafael), Anita, Ariel (Terrance), Jasmine (JR), and Natalia (play-sister), great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and host of relatives and friends. Yes, Anthony was truly loved and along with his parents many cannot wait to welcome him back in the paradise to come that our great God Jehovah promised. For now, he remains in Jehovah's memory.
