Bernard Louis Bryant

Bernard, the youngest of eight children, was born April 5, 1966 to Clifford and Daisy Bryant in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Cottage Grove Middle School where he enjoyed his studies and was known as “The Little Professor”. He graduated Bloom Trail High School and attended college in Florida. He returned home to Chicago Heights were he worked as a manager of Chernins Shoes and maintained a second job. He took early retirement due to health issues. Bernard grew up in the Christian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. After making the truth his own, Bernard was baptized. He loved Jehovah and enjoyed the ministry and teaching others about God’s promised paradise earth where no resident will say, “I am sick”. Bernard loved his family, music, and Cadillac’s. His nickname was Cadillac Boss B. On March 18, 2020, Bernard fell asleep in death. He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Bryant, Sr. and brothers-in-law Patrick DeBow and Walter Ward. Bernard leaves to cherish his memory, his mom Daisy Bryant; children Angela (Elantia) Bryant-Washington, Estelle Donner, Diamond Lockett, Yaxickha Bryant, Jacques Jordan, and Ka’lani Bryant; grandchildren Emerrieh Bryant, E'Ania Washington, Jay'Ceon Bryant, E'Mahni Washington, and Katatie Nash Jr.; siblings Lorraine DeBow, Joyce (James) Nettles Sr., Betty Ward, Clifford (Ella) Bryant, Shirley (Arthur) Johnson, Janice (James) Spence, and Kathy (Norman) Brewton, aunt Elsie Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
