Carl Edward Pearson Jr. entered this life on January 26th, 1974. Carl was affectionately called “Pie Face” by his parents because of his round but handsome face. Carl was a very intelligent articulate man and had a way with his words. His passion for writing was like no other. Carl wrote a series of short stories, poems, and books that were phenomenal. He often told his life story through his writing and used writing as a way to express himself. Carl was known for his sense of humor and could brighten any room. His smile was infectious and could uplift anyone’s spirits. Carl loved his family and would do anything for the ones he cared about. He had such a big heart and would help out anyone in need. The highlight of Carl’s life was becoming a grandfather. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed playing sports with them. He would often tell them they have to grow up to be successful and rich to take care of him when he’s old. Carl accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop Claude E. Tears of First Corinthians M.B. Church. He later moved his membership to Christian Covenant Outreach Church under the leadership and guidance of Bishop Troy Garner Sr. where his foundation and relationship with Christ was formed. Carl received most of his education through Chicago Public Schools. Many counselors, teachers, and professors were drawn to him because of how incredibly smart he was. Carl was loved and respected by so many people and will truly be missed.
