Chester Washington

Chester Washington was born June 6, 1928, in Smith County Klein, Mississippi. He was one of 12 children born to Len and Nellie Washington. On May 15, 2020, Chester fell asleep in death. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Troy, LJ, Leroy, Ray, and Garland; and his sisters, Omell, Alberta, Izella, Mayola. Chester moved to Chicago, Illinois from Mississippi and worked at Reynolds for 41 years until he retired. On August 28, 1993, he married his beloved wife Milverta. It was during their marriage Chester started studying the Bible. He came to know Jehovah and his son Jesus which led him to dedicate his life and symbolize his dedication through water baptism on September 22, 2013. He leaves behind a son, Billy Moncrief; daughters, Renee (Anton) Davidson and April (Carl) Smith; granddaughter, Sierra Brown; two sisters, Annie Langham of Chicago, IL and Dessie (Isaiah) Easterling of Hattiesburg, MS; and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
