Rev. David Goudy
July 4, 1953 - December 27, 2020
Reverend David Goudy was born to his father Joseph Goudy and mother Ella Mae Goudy on July 4, 1953 in Berwyn, Illinois at Mc Neal Hospital. He was a pillar to the community and was very generous and helpful to everyone whether they became friends or crossed his path. Reverend Goudy had a very calm, gentle personality and was always willing to help anyone achieve success when able, with the knowledge he gained from attending law school and business ethics. Reverend was also a very creative, intellectual, strong-minded person. Like many others, he had to deal with hardship growing up, his Mother passed away when he was 10 years old, which left him and his two siblings Christine and Ruth Goudy to be raised by their father Joseph Goudy. They also had one more brother that was raised separately named Joe Goudy Jr. from his Father that Reverend became very close with over the years. Despite his Mother passing so young, Reverend was able to still become a loving, heart-felt gentleman and touched so many people's lives during his 67 years of living. Reverend Goudy had two children Dawud Stigler. Left to continue his legacy and cherish his loving memories, his beloved daughter Rahima Goudy, three grandchildren Del Sh'nay Gaskin, Jaliyah Gloster, Amor Fleming and sister Christine Goudy and quite a few nieces and nephews. My Father was looked up to by many people. He was a very strong-willed man with many trades and was able to master many during his lifetime, and for that, he will always be remembered.
