Mr. Derwin White

November 29, 1959 - April 3, 2022

Derwin White was born November 22, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, the oldest of his siblings. Derwin, known as “Shorty D”, “Uncle D”, or just “D” was loved by so many. Derwin loved to laugh! He was that person that everyone would say I am not thinking about his ass. You never knew how or when he was coming for you. Those who knew him well, know that he kept a pint in one pocket and a half sandwich in the other one. Derwin became a part of the All-American Crusher Softball team where he became lifetime friends’ teammates and coach. Derwin considered himself to be a grill master and enjoyed grilling for his family especially his nieces and nephews. He had a very strong bond with all of them. Derwin will be forever cherished by his children, Kenneth Jones, Cecelia White, quinton White, Diamond Williams, Derwin Williams, and Daniel Williams; one granddaughter, Charisma; sisters, Yourlanda White (Michael), Yvette Gilbert (Mason), and Alexis Payne; aunts, Phylistine Carlock, Herdia Carlock, Alesia Carlock; uncle, Derek Carlock; nieces, Rosyln, Twanda, Talonda, Yolanda, Chandra, Shavonne, Karlee, Whitlee and Rylee’ nephews, Deon and Lil Michael; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia White; father, Henry Smith; sons, Kevin and Damontae’ uncles, Joseph, Lawrence and Tim; grandmother.
