Girvaughn Omar Lofton was born on October 16, 1991 to Marshall Lofton and Michelle Locke in Chicago, Illinois. He fell asleep in death on Friday, November 27, 2020. From infancy Girvaughn was given Bible training by his parents, he gained his spiritual knowledge at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Girvaughn attended Burnham/Anthony Academy and he graduated from Richards High School where he played football. He attended Illinois Central College, he also went to truck driving school and received a CDL. Girvaughn had a love for sports, at the age of 14 he was officiating softball and basketball for the Illinois High School Association as a referee. He also started working with his dad at a young age doing construction work. Girvaughn enjoyed laughing and talking with his dad on the job. Girvaughn had many aspiring attributes, he was a beautiful soul, always affectionate loving and kind, intelligent, easy going, endearing and charismatic and quite handsome, his smile was infectious. He was an amazing son, brother, nephew, grandson,and friend. He was a loving father who went above and beyond for his children. He loved to spend quality time with his family and friends, if you were considered a friend you were embraced as family. He loved to travel anywhere but especially to Atlanta, Georgia to see his grandmother (Dear). He loved to spend quality time with his siblings, he also had a love for music and dancing. He longed for a time when God ‘s will, would be done on earth just as in heaven, restoring the earth to a paradise. Girvaughn leaves to cherish his memories to his two precious children Jourdynn and Julianna. His beloved parents Marshall (Lonetta) Lofton and Michelle (Vincent) Rutledge. His grandparents Janet (James) Burt and Lester (Connie) Locke. His siblings Vincent Jr., Sierra, Ne’shai, Malique, Nehari and Mone’. Two nieces Mia and Samantha,; four nephews Hezekiah, Josiah, Jeremiah and Jakari; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.
