Mrs Hattie Campbell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hattie Campbell was born on March 9, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Mary and Othie Randle. Hattie never left the house without being stylish from head to toe. She was employed by Spiegel for 10 years. Hattie’s love of God and people led her to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. Hattie’s belief in the Bible and Jehovah’s promise of a paradise earth filled her heart. She looked forward to the fulfillment of the scripture in Isaiah 33:24: And no resident will say: “I am sick”. She was a devoted wife, mother, and adoring grandmother. Her family meant everything to her and there was nothing that she would not do for them. Hattie was also the unofficial mother in her neighborhood, “adopting” anyone who came into her path thus extending her family across the country. She had a smile and laugh that would light up any room. She knew how to have a good time. On June 15, 2022, Hattie Campbell fell asleep in death. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Jerome Campbell; father Othie Randle; mother Mary Randle; three sisters Carolyn Jones, Rosie Campbell, Johnnie Lenoir; son Andre Campbell Sr.; and two grandsons Nicholas Campbell and Allen Jerome Campbell III. Hattie leaves to cherish her memories: one sister Helen (Tony) Burt; one brother Tony (Linda) Randle; five children Valerie Vinson, Lolita Campbell, Allan J. Campbell, Herman Campbell, and Melvin Campbell; fourteen grandchildren Michael Sullivan, Charles Wilson, Davisha (Sheikh) Demba, Javon Vinson, Andre Campbell, Javonte’ Vinson, Raenisha Parks, Demarquis Reed, DeMarco Reed, Alanisha Campbell, Melvin Campbell Jr., Aaleem Campbell, Hermaria Campbell, and Messiah Campbell; five great grandchildren Charles Jr., Jahmari, Ar’moni, Alayna, and Arrin; and a host of other relatives, and friends too numerous to mention.
