Mr. Jason King

Jason Lamont King Sr. was born to the union of Leontyne King and Barry West in Chicago, Illinois, on October 28, 1984. He attended Andrew Carnegie Elementary school and Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago, IL. Jason followed his dream of becoming a Chef by graduating and obtaining his Associates Degree from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary and Hospitality school in Chicago, IL. Working multiple jobs kept Jason happy and busy and allowed him to provide for his children. His passion was in the kitchen. Jason loved spending time as a Chef cooking and creating delicious meals throughout the city. He created a name for every meal he made. From sharing recipes to creating moments full of laughs his pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to him. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities. Blasting music was one of his favorite things to do. Some of his favorite artists were Tupac, Jay Z, UGK, Pimp C, 112, Three 6 Mafia, Outkast, and 8Ball & MJG. He was the life of the party. Jason was born into eternity on April 15, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father: Barry West; brother: Kenneth Owens; grandmother: Ollie Pearl King; Aunt: Theresa King; and Uncle: Leonard Walker. Jason leaves to continue his legacy, his four sons: Jason King Jr., Jayshawn King, Jalen King, and Jamari King. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother: Leontyne King; three brothers: Michael King, Joseph Jones, and Joshua Jones; one sister: Ollie King; one niece: Kassidy Owens; cousins: Amelia King, Ava King, Allen King, John King Jr., Janna King, Raymond King Jr., Corey King, Dana King, Blake Jeffries-Clayton, Raven King, and Rylee King; four uncles: Nathaniel Walker, John King, Raymond King, and Alexander King; one aunt: Janet King; and grandfather: Leonard King; and a host of family and friends.
