    Mr. Perkins Washington

    March 8, 1945 - November 22, 2021

Perkins Washington was born to Lloyd and Mae Francis Washington on March 8, 1945, in Seypal, Arkansas. Perkins met and married the love of his life Vera, who he was married to for 59 years. In this union, they had five children; Glortha, Lavell, Patricia, Preston, and Nicole. Perkins started his career at Sears, then Whirlpool, where he drove trucks and later became a Barber. Perkins was known for being a practical joker. He also enjoyed traveling by car and fishing. Perkins was a jack of all trades. It wasn't a task he couldn't master. Perkins was a husband and father. Anytime one of his kids or grandkids needed him, he would be there. It didn't matter if they were in the same state or not.  Perkins started studying to become a Jehovah's Witness in 1986. Perkins got baptized on January 17, 1988. Perkins served as an Elder in the Kingston Green and Homewood Congregations for a total of twenty-four years. On November 22, 2021, Perkins fell asleep in death. Perkins was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sons Lavell and Preston, two brothers Preston and Floyd, and two sisters Celia and Ruthie.  Perkins leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Vera; his children Gloretha, Patricia, Randy, and Nicole; his brother Lloyd (wife Erma); his sister Lurine; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, Who and friends.
