Shirley Lee Weathers

March 4, 1947 - October 5, 2020

Shirley Lee Weathers was born March 4, 1947 to Emma Jeanette Ratcliffe and Walter Vance Ratcliffe Sr. in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the oldest of seven children. Shirley, known to many as "Nanny", received her early education at Lewis Chaplin Elementary School and later attended Westcott High School known today as Simeon High School. Shirley dedicated her life to the True God Jehovah and became one of his witnesses in the 1970's, as a member of the Pershing Congregation in Chicago, Illinois. Shirley was employed by the Marco Consulting Group formerly the SEI Corp. as a Graphics Analyst for a combined 24 years until retiring in the year 2013. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Weathers, her brother Walter Ratcliffe Jr., her sister Jeanette Ratcliffe, her brother Allen Ratcliffe, and her granddaughter Andrea Scott. Shirley is survived by her sister Denise Ratcliffe; brothers Eric (Nita) Ratcliffe and Anthony Ratcliffe; her beloved children Yvette Ratcliffe and Andre Ratcliffe; nieces Antionette (Tyrone) Austin and Latonya Ratcliffe; stepchildren Robert Joyner, Prentis Weathers, Anthony Weathers, Aslee Weathers, and Carlton Weathers. She is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren Tenija Ratcliffe, Kyle Ratcliffe, DeAndre Ratcliffe, Jaquez Gibson, Aidan Ratcliffe, Amir Ratcliffe, and Amani Ratcliffe; three great grandchildren Kentrell Pleasant, Destin Bradley, and Keon Ratcliffe; and a host of family and friends.
