Betty Anderson

Betty Anderson was born September 16, 1942 to Osie Lee Davis and Rosena Jimerson in Little Rock, Arkansas. Betty accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Trinity Church of God in Christ under Pastor Charles W. Nelson for over 40 years. She was a missionary and had her special nights on Wednesday. She was a saved and sanctified woman. Betty loved to look good. She wore big hats and stayed fancy. She was a house wife and kept everything just right for her household. As a caring person, she would give her last. She was the most beautiful person you would ever want to meet. In 2010, Mom took ill. This long struggle for her proved that she was the strongest person that we’ve ever met. It has been a long, but lovely journey. Mom had been suffering with Alzheimer ’s disease and this disease caused her to having all different types of personalities, that we can now sit back and laugh at. She named two of us Flossy and Lossy and even though we knew we weren’t them, we answered anyway. That would sometimes make Mom angry and she would turn into the Incredible Hulk. This Lil Lady knew she could fight, so we just took it like champions. Once she settled down we would ask her why did you attack us, and she would always reply, “Baby, I would never hit you” and “Stop lying on me.” Not wanting to get another mouth shot, we went along with her. Regardless of her situation, we loved her no less. On May 31, 2014, Betty Anderson closed her eyes in death. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosena Jimerson; father, Osie Lee Davis; brother, Joseph Davis; sisters, Christina Nichols and Rosie Mae Davis Patillo; and sons, Mario Anderson, Jerome Anderson and Timothy Anderson. Betty leaves to cherish her loving memories and continue her legacy, her devoted husband, Norris Anderson; daughters, Chi Anderson, Charmaine Watson (Karen), Toni Anderson (Mark), Kim Anderson, Natasha Jimerson, Alexis Collins Anderson and Beverly Jennings; one son, Reggie Anderson (Candice); one step-daughter, Lolo; her frolicks, Osie Lee, Henry Jimerson (Gwen) and Verneal Jimerson; sisters, Clothe Jimerson (Willie), Rose Fulwiley (Herman), Annette, Doris (Billy), Sheila Jimerson (Chester), Belretha Jordan (Willie) and Flora Wallace (Ronald); close friends, Flora Wallace, Vera Cole, Sis. Nelson and Autherine Newman; 35 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
