Christine Holloway

Christine E. Holloway was born November 29, 1950 to the union of James and Dorothy Morgan in Chicago, Illinois. Christine attended and graduated from Bremen High School in 1968. While in high school she joined the modern dance club called "Orchises". She enjoyed dancing and performing with them. After high school she received an Associates Degree in Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse. On November 6, 1971, she was united in holy matrimony with Robert Lee Holloway. To this union two daughters were born, Camelle and Channon. Christine loved God from a young age and would often inquire about the Bible. In 1975, Christine became associated with Jehovah's Witnesses and began to actively study and apply Bible principles. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized her dedication through water baptism in February of 1979. She had a love and zeal for God's word. She believed stongly in following Jesus' commandment at Matthew 28:19 to "Go therefore and make disciples..." She pioneered full time for many years and assisted many people in learning about Jehovah. Some of whom also dedicated their lives and became baptized. As a registered nurse she specialized in pediatrics for many years at Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. She also worked at Oak Forest Hospital and South Suburban Hospital. After which she worked at several different nursing agencies such as Shay Health Care Services and Melmedica Children's Healthcare. Christine loved babies and children, and took pride in taking care of them. Christine loved admiring God's creation. She especially loved rainbows. She would stop and marvel at the beauty of the sky, flowers, trees or birds and say, "Look at you, Jehovah." She had a way of making others do the same. Christine loved the arts such as music and literature. She also wrote poetry. A joy that she loved to share with her family. On March 1, 2015, Christine fell asleep in death. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Morgan, and her father, James Morgan Sr. Christine leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Camelle (Troy) Farmer and Channon Holloway; her mother, Dorothy Morgan; three grandchildren, Troy Farmer Jr., Javen Holloway and Brittany Evans; three sisters, Mary (Jesse) Hinton, Annette Lucas and Lajuana Dukes; two brothers, James (Mildred) Morgan Jr. and David (Ligaya)) Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and a large family of spiritual brothers and sisters.
