Ms. Claudine Cutright

HEY! My name is Claudine Patricia Cutright, but you can call me Ce Ce. As you can see I love butterflies and the color purple. My grand entrance was made on a Wednesday, February 19, 1969, at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. That’s when I met my beautiful parents Shirley and Robert Cutright Jr. and my older sister Charlene (Mosley) Cutright. We would travel and make alot of memories all over the world but, we always kept God first as we attended Saint John Church-Baptist. At church me and my sister Charlene were on the Usher Board, Girl Scouts and also attended Sunday S hool every Sunday morning. Then when my younger sister Christine Cutright was born our family was complete. I loved hanging out with my family and friends going out to eat, shopping and did I say snacking? I loved my snacks! I received my diploma from Joseph Warren Elementary School, Graduating 8th grade was a huge accomplishment for me. I then completed 4 years at James H. Bowen High School. My senior year I had a big surprise which was when I met my beautiful daughter Porscha Cutright, she was such a bundle of joy to have. That’s when I knew that it was time to grow up and become the best mom that I could be. I started out working at Osco Drugs being a scanner which I enjoyed but it could be overwhelming at times. So then I started at Someplace Else lounge being a bartender which was fun because I was able to meet new people and be myself. After working there for a few years making people laugh and accompanying them some adult beverages, I had to move on. In 2001, I finally found a career that I really enjoyed, which was working for the United States Postal Service being a Mail Carrier. Around the same time I was pregnant and had my son Sydney Smith, my only boy. Oh boy was he spoiled rotten! In that following year I gave birth to my baby girl Sarah Cutright, that’s when I knew my small family was complete. I had 3 beautiful children while also working around different jobs but I made it through. On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Trinity Hospital I was greeted by my loved ones. They were clapping, smiling and dancing. They looked as happy as me! I was greeted by my father, grandparents, aunties and uncles, they all embraced me as I walked through the gates of heaven. I will be long loved, cherished, and remembered by: mom, Shirley Cutright; three children, Porscha Cutright (Kenny), Sydney Smith, and Sarah Cutright; two sisters, Charlene Cutright-Mosley (Edward) and Christine Cutight; nephew, Cebastion Brown; niece, Serena Booker and a host of other relatives and friends.
