Walter Terry Hill

Walter Terry Hill was born on October 24, 1947 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the union of Adele and James Hill. He was the first born of this union. Walter grew up with his Aunt Marie and his cousin Robert Henry. Walter attended DuSable High School in Chicago, Illinois. Walter later met and married Diane and from this union was born their son, Paul Alan, and helped rear her nephew Dwight. Walter began studying the Bible with Jehovah Witnesses. His desire to live in paradise in God's new world and the promises found in God's word moved him to dedicate his life to Jehovah God and symbolize his dedication by water baptism in January of 1973 becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Walter was always known to quote scriptures especially of the time we are living in the last days. (2 Timothy 3:1-5). He was a loyal and faithful servant until his death. Walter was always known to give good advice regarding marriage. Walter loved music, eating and talking about Jehovah, he was an excellent provider, loved his family and his grand kids. He was very helpful to his daughter, Fransean and a loving and kind husband to his wife and caregiver, Denise. Walter had kidney failure but he was never too sick to smile or make a funny joke. He was liked by everyone from his doctors, nurses, CNAs and staff they all loved his smile and personality. He worked at Amtrak and retired in 1998. One of the best workers there which he was proud of. Walter and Denise celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary January 15, 2017 at the Villa where he was residing and he loved every minute of it from the family that attended (which they surprised him) the music , and the cake that was served. On June 22, 2017, Walter fell asleep in death. He was preceded in death by his parents James Hill and Adele Griffers* his first wife Diane, and his aunt Marie. Walter leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy his devoted, loving wife of 18 years Denise; his son, Paul (Victoria); his daughter, Fransean; his grandchildren, Fashaun, Kyah, Brayon, Stacia, Valizria and Francisco; his siblings, Jerome, Eddie, Frankie, Evelyn, Mary, Lisa and Robert who was like a brother, HL and Jamesetta; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
